Role Overview & Specifications
Cityfurnish India Private Limited is hiring for Business Development Executive
About the Company
Cityfurnish India Private Limited is India’s leading furniture and appliance rental subscription brand, offering flexible rental plans for homes, offices, co-living spaces, and hospitality clients across multiple cities. We combine quality products with doorstep delivery, installation, and maintenance — backed by a strong operations network. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for people who can build client relationships and confidently manage the realities of a fast-moving, delivery-driven business.
Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities — corporates, co-living operators, hospitality, and bulk/turnkey furniture rental clients
- Build and manage a sales pipeline; achieve monthly/quarterly rental subscription targets
- Prepare and present rental proposals, package options, and pricing to prospective clients
- Negotiate terms, tenure, and pricing in line with company policy
- Client & Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts after the sale is closed
- Coordinate with the operations and fulfillment center teams to ensure delivery and installation timelines are met
- Proactively update clients on order status, expected delivery dates, and any changes in plan
- Support clients through upgrades, exchanges, returns, and renewals
- Escalation & Issue Resolution
- Handle client escalations directly and professionally — including delayed deliveries, product quality concerns, or installation/service issues
- Liaise with operations, warehouse, and quality teams to investigate the issue and drive a fast resolution
- Keep clients informed with honest, timely updates while a resolution is in progress, to protect trust and retention
- Stay calm and firm under pressure, including with frustrated or demanding clients, without escalating tension unnecessarily
- Flag recurring issues to management to help improve delivery and quality processes
- Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, complaints, and resolutions in the CRM
- Share regular reports with management on pipeline status, account health, and open escalations
- Work closely with the operations team to flag at-risk orders before they become client-facing issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or marketing related field
- 2–4 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Operations or Client Servicing, ideally with exposure to operations, logistics, or order fulfillment
- Strong verbal communication skills — confident speaking with clients over phone, email, and in person
- Demonstrated ability to manage pressure and de-escalate tense client conversations
- Basic understanding of operations/supply chain concepts — delivery timelines, installation, quality checks, and dispatch
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Word; CRM experience is a plus
- Strong negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
