Auto CAD Designer

Dhansri Infrax Pvt Ltd is hiring for the role of Auto CAD Designer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings for furniture, interior fit-outs, modular furniture, office furniture, etc.
• Develop 3D models and designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp and related software.
• Prepare detailed working/shop drawings for manufacturing and site execution.
• Create plans, elevations, sections, detailed joinery drawings and furniture layouts.
• Convert design concepts, sketches and client requirements into accurate technical drawings.
• Prepare cutting details, dimensions, material specifications and hardware details wherever required.
• Coordinate with the Design, Production, Purchase and Project Execution teams to ensure drawings are practical and production-ready.
• Modify drawings based on client, architect, consultant or project-site requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved designs, dimensions and project specifications.
• Prepare BOQ/BOM-related drawings and details to support costing and procurement.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare as-built drawings when required.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions, drawing registers and documentation.
• Identify design/technical issues before production and coordinate with concerned departments for resolution.
• Support the production team with clarification of drawings and technical details.
• Ensure accuracy, quality and timely completion of assigned drawings.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD drafting/design, preferably in furniture manufacturing, modular furniture, interior fit-outs or architectural projects.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D & 3D.
• Good working knowledge of SketchUp is essential.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling, rendering and visualization will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of furniture construction, materials, hardware, joinery and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and interior drawings.
• Strong knowledge of dimensions, scales, elevations, sections and detailing.
• Ability to prepare production-ready/shop drawings independently.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Candidates from furniture manufacturing / modular furniture / interior fit-out companies will be preferred.
