Role Overview & Specifications

Presales is where the deal is won or lost — and great presales starts with knowing the product cold and understanding the customer's problem deeply.

As a Presales & Solution Engineer in the Founder's Office, you'll be at the front of every customer conversation. You'll learn the PrivacyLedger SaaS platform end-to-end, understand how India's DPDPA obligations translate into real compliance challenges for enterprises, and help prospects see clearly how the platform solves those challenges.

In a typical week, you might be tailoring a demo for a BFSI prospect in the morning, working on a proof-of-concept configuration in the afternoon, and drafting responses to a questionnaire before the day ends. It moves fast, and the work is varied.

This role is ideal for someone who is naturally comfortable in front of people, enjoys the challenge of explaining complex things simply, and wants to build commercial and technical depth at the same time — early in their career.

What You'll Do:

Master the Platform:

You can't demo what you don't understand. You'll invest seriously in learning the product before you take it to customers.

  • Learn the PrivacyLedger platform end-to-end across all compliance modules
  • Configure and maintain demo environments for different industry scenarios
  • Continuously test new features to stay current with every product release
  • Develop a sharp understanding of how each module maps to specific DPDPA obligations

Lead Customer Demonstrations:

Demos aren't product tours — they're conversations about customer problems. You'll learn to run both.

  • Prepare and deliver tailored product demonstrations for prospective customers
  • Adapt the demo narrative to the audience — technical, business, or executive
  • Handle objections, questions, and deep-dive discussions with confidence
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer requirements before a demo

Solution & Proof-of-Concept Engineering:

When a prospect wants to see the platform work for their specific situation, you'll build it.

  • Configure proof-of-concept environments that reflect the customer's compliance landscape
  • Map customer requirements to platform capabilities and document the solution design
  • Support RFP, RFI, and technical questionnaire responses
  • Translate complex regulatory and technical requirements into clear business value narratives

Market & Competitive Intelligence:

The RegTech landscape in India is developing quickly. Staying sharp helps you have better conversations.

  • Develop a working knowledge of India's DPDPA 2023 and DPDP Rules 2025
  • Understand the broader data privacy and compliance landscape (GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001) at a conceptual level
  • Stay informed on how the RegTech and PrivacyTech markets are evolving in India

Post-Demo Follow-Through:

The conversation doesn't end when the demo does.

  • Prepare follow-up materials: proposal summaries, capability matrices, and technical responses
  • Coordinate with the Engineering team on prospect-specific queries and feature questions
  • Support smooth handoff from presales to implementation once a deal progresses

Who Should Apply:

This role is built for someone who is energized by customer conversations, not drained by them. You're comfortable walking into a room (or a video call) with senior stakeholders and holding your own — not because you're overconfident, but because you've done your homework, and you listen well.

You don't need to have done presales before. You do need to be someone who picks up new concepts quickly, communicates clearly, and follows through reliably. We're looking for:

  • Natural communication skills — written and verbal, formal and informal
  • Genuine comfort presenting to small and large groups, including senior executives
  • The ability to learn a complex product and explain it simply to different audiences
  • Intellectual curiosity about enterprise software, compliance, and how businesses operate
  • Strong organisation and follow-through — presales involve many moving parts
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to improvise within structure

MBA graduates or graduates from premier institutions with strong academic standing and a demonstrated interest in enterprise SaaS, B2B sales, or technology consulting. Relevant disciplines include Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields.

Open to recent graduates from any field with a strong academic record and a passion for technology. We value your skills over a specific degree. If you have great communication and presentation skills, a customer-centric mindset, learn quickly, and want to get hands-on with SaaS software configuration and product demos, we encourage you to apply!
