Comprehensive Model Answer Verified Solution

Organic reach is the number of people who see your content without paid promotion. It comes from followers, shares and the platform's ranking algorithm, and it is essentially free but unpredictable and shrinking on most networks.

Paid reach is the number of people who see content because you paid to distribute it, through boosted posts, search ads or display. It is predictable, targetable and scalable, but it stops when the budget stops.

The two work together. Organic builds trust and authority and validates which messages resonate. Paid amplifies the winners and reaches audiences beyond your existing followers.

In practice I use organic content as a testing ground, then put budget behind the posts and keywords that already show strong engagement, rather than paying to distribute a message nobody has validated.

Candidate Response Strategy & Interview Tips

  1. Start with a concise one-sentence summary: Deliver a direct, confident answer first before expanding into nuances.
  2. Demonstrate real-world trade-offs: Discuss where this approach excels and when you would avoid it in production systems.
  3. Discuss complexity & edge cases: Proactively explain time/space complexity or boundary conditions (null values, scale limits).
  4. Prepare for interviewer follow-ups: Technical hiring panels frequently probe deeper into concurrency, backward compatibility, or alternative libraries.
